This job should be PT or PRN status. The hours fluctuate a lot due to individuals going to psych hospitals and family visits. Management is terrible and very unorganized.
Job description
This job was definitely a learning opportunity and way to get started now I’m ready to elevate to a new company. This job was fairly easy we gave meds and personal care and food. I drove the state van for the clients outings.
Happy
It’s satisfying working with the clientele . Chances for advancement is good if you know someone that knows someone. You can have a degree and still get overlooked for someone that doesn’t have a degree
Delaware Mentor
Delaware Mentor overall is great experience. You get a chance to give someone a helping hand at living and be paid for it. My work days with my client were memorable.
Poor company
Delaware Mentor is more about covering up just how poorly their business is. It should be about the clients and unfortunately it is not. You will realize that you are expendable and their attrition rate is astonishing.
Ok place to work
It is not very well put together. Not staffed well and they could pay more for the work that you do. They need more staff and better things for the consumers to do.
Challenging
The review that I have about Delaware Mentor is that it can be challenging. What I have noticed is that you have to be passionate about your job. As a DSP you have to be dedicated to providing safety and care for the Clients.
